The Health Centre was developed alongside an existing Church. The St Aidan’s Hall and Church extension was undertaken at same time.
The Church aspiration was that the new community facility would help revitalise and bring much needed facilities to the Hall i’th’ Wood housing estate, and help bring together the existing estate and the new residential development which was built to the rear on land behind the church.
This hope seems to have been realised - the new Hall is now the home of Little Angels Playgroup and is providing much-needed childcare facilities for families in the local area. Demand for the Playgroup's services continues to grow. The Hall has a fitted kitchen, male, female and disabled WC facilities and baby changing facilities. The large hall and adjoining smaller room can be form a single space by opening the substantial folding wall which separates the two.
