LSP Appointed by Redditch Borough Council on Church Hill District Centre Reprovision

Following a competitive tender progress, LSP have been appointed by Redditch Borough Council as preferred development partner for the reprovision of Church Hill District Centre. LSP have formed a consortium with Trebor Developments, Bellway Homes and Bromsgrove and District Housing Trust, in order to put a proposal forward for the delivery of the scheme.
The current Church Hill District Centre is far from ideal to meet the needs of the local public and the Council are keen to promote a new centre, which not only reprovides the existing retailers, but also enables infrastructure changes to improve access to the Centre. Furthermore, with the demolition of the existing, further land will be freed up for residential development, to improve the vitality of the Centre.
LSP are also in discussions with Worcestershire Primary Care Trust and the local Church Hill Medical Centre, with a view to incorporating a new primary care facility within the scheme.
The development is subject to the Council's cabinet approval and at present, the LSP team are undertaking a value engineering exercise to try and maximise value for money to the Council.
