LSP Continue Progress in Chellaston

LSP are engaged with the High Trees Practice, currently located within the centre of Chellaston (a suburb of Derby), to provide a new ‘state of the art’ health facility to replace their existing premises which are no longer fit for purpose in terms of Health and Safety, DDA and a growing patient population.
A site for the new facility has been secured approximately 1 mile from the existing surgery which forms part of a wider development including neighbourhood centre, residential carehome operated by Barchester (due to open in Autumn 2010) and residential apartments.
LSP assisted the Practice in the preparation and submission of a Business Case which was approved by the Derby City PCT in July 2009.
Since then, LSP have been working closely with the Practice to develop the design to meet their service delivery and operational needs. The facility also includes an integral pharmacy.
Full Planning Permission was obtained in October 2010 and all parties are working closely together with the aim of commencing the build in the spring 2010 which will result in the facility opening to patients in winter 2011.
