St Hilary Brow Practice Opened by Sir David Nicholson

Following LSP’s completion of the new practice facility for the St Hilary Group Practice, the official opening was undertaken by the Chief Executive of the NHS and the NHS Commissioning Board on 20th July 2012.
David described the building as ‘one of the most advanced NHS primary care centres in the north-west’.
Dr James Kingsland described how the team at the St Hilary Group Practice have been reinvigorated by the new premises. The project has however not been straight-forward, LSP have overcome a number of obstacles preventing the development from going ahead. The design and planning process was extremely challenging, including topographical issues, archaeological history of the site, under-lying sandstone and the close proximity to the adjacent St Hilary’s Church, which dates back to Saxon times and is Grade II listed.
