Good Start at Flixton

Construction work has begun on LSP’s new neighbourhood centre in Flixton, Manchester. The first phase of the construction comprises the new mixed use building, made up of 4 retail units on the ground floor, together with an access to the Urmston Group GP practice, which will occupy the whole of the first floor. 12 residential apartments are located on the top floor which are being developed on behalf of Trafford Housing Trust.
The construction phase is due for completion late 2015 with the demolition of the existing building taking place once the new facility is occupied. The remainder of the site will then be developed out by Persimmon Homes who will be building 25 new homes.
LSP Developments were selected by Trafford Borough Council following a formal tender process and were able to incorporate the GP surgery due to their specialism in this sector. The retail line up is anchored by a Sainsbury’s Local convenience store, Co-op pharmacy, William Hill and Barnardo’s.
