Patients to Benefit from a Major NHS Funding Boost to Improve Local GP Facilities

LSP, working with health investment partner, Assura are about to commence work to extend and refurbish the Long Lane Surgery in Coalville. The project will provide additional consulting and clinic space including a new minor operations suite, together with extensive remodelling and refurbishment of the existing accommodation. It will bring the premises up to current NHS design standards and also provide the practice with the opportunity to deliver more services for the community.
The project is being partly funded from the NHS England Primary Care Infrastructure Fund which is a national funding programme to support GP practices to make improvements to services for local patients, including more modern, expanded facilities and use of new technologies.
LSP have appointed local building contractor Oakmore Construction who will deliver the project in phases and the works are scheduled to be finished during the early part of 2017.
